There is some odd behavior of the Jellyfin Android TV app. If I play a media file (for example) with two audio lines German - default and English, it will play the German one, despite that I set "English" as preferred language in the user options and disabled "Play default audio track regardless of language". What is even more odd is that if I click on the option to select a language, the checkmark is properly set to "English". Then, I need to select German and reselect English to actually get the English track.
That seems to be some bug? It appears that the option overrides the Default language selection but still plays the default language track? This problem occurs with at least two different sets of media sources.
