I know if im using docker for DLNA it needs to be in host mode then it works, but then i lose access to the web ui and app access. Is it posible to have both at the same time? I tried searching for this issue with no luck. Maybe i should run a sperate dlna container.

Uh....why do you lose access to the web UI and your apps? That shouldn't make a difference. In fact, it's one less layer of virtualization and you don't have to publish your ports. Can you provide a docker log that shows what issues you're having in host network mode? For giggles, I made this change. No issues with webOS, Roku, Android, or web UI...
