Hello, I'm wondering for which clients it would be beneficial to use the Subtitle Extract plugin. I've been using it, but the recent blog post about the Android TV 0.18 update indicates that I don't need it anymore, at least for the Android TV app:
I would like to know which clients it is useful for, so I can figure out if I can uninstall it or not. My Subtitles folder is about 25 GB. I'd greatly appreciate any help. Thank you!
dPreviously the app did not support embedded subtitle
s and forced the server to extract them from video files first. This is a resource-heavy process and often causes subtitles to not show up or with a big delay. A workaround for this was to use the "Subtitle Extract" plugin that will do this extraction ahead of time, this was cumbersome and is now no longer necessary.
