    Hi All,

I'm new to Jellyfin, I installed it yesterday.

I've been able to figure out just about everything, I've added movies and TV shows without any problems.

One thing that I can't seem to get right is one folder that has documentaries. The folder has 31 files, a combination of MKVs and AVIs - when I scroll through my TV Shows, and I open "Documentaries" I see some Chinese TV show that I have no idea where it came from, or what it even is. Of the 31 files, I only see one actual documentary about the Milau Bridge and its construction. The Icon for this folder "Documentaries" does show a little red circle with "31" in it.

I am so confused by this that I don't even know how to begin searching for it in this forum.

Any help would be tremendously appreciated.

    Thanks.

It sounds like you are nesting your documentaries in a subfolder. This is not supported in the Shows library type, except for supported content like extras.

If you don't want your documentaries mixed together with your other shows you would need to create a separate library for them (move them out of your current shows folder into its own parent directory).

I will certainly try that, but I do have other stuff nested and they seem to work just fine. For example, I have a folder Called: Rome S01 - S02, and inside that folder I have two other folders for S01 & S02 - that works OK.

Still, I'll try what you suggested. I may have to create some other root folder and it may take a bit of time.

    Thanks.

"Seasons" folders nested in a show is supported in our documentation. Arbitrary nesting is not.

    That did the trick!!

    Thank you so much.

I still don't understand where that Chinese series about a girlfriend came from, but I am happy now.

    Thanks again
