Client: Android tv 0.16.0 beta 5

When using exoplayer the subtitle settings will not change no matter what I put in the settings, id love to get rid of the black background. Same issue with libvlc
any fixes? tried searching on the deprecated subreddit and on google but not much luck

For images below its .ass subtitle format, the issue is not present in vlc (external player)

I think that depends on what kind of subtitle it is. If it is a plain text subtitle format, those settings would change the text appearance. If it is a picture based subtitle then they wouldn't.

then it should be encoded into the subtitle itself https://stackoverflow.com/questions/2587...-in-ffmpeg
