    Hello,

I am in the process of attempting to use jellyfin as my media server and clients.

I have a Synology DS923+  running the latest DSM 7.2.1-69057

When I go to the package centre and click on community and find Jellyfin and click install it goes through the downloading 0-100%, then a short loading screen appears and nothing, when I clock on the jellyfin logo I get download count 0 and not installed.

I am at a bit of a loss as to why. Is there a glitch with the version, or something a miss on my NAS, can anyone suggest some solutions or causes?

that "community" you clicked is the synology community script created by a random user there. it's not provided by jellyfin, at all

not sure how much help you can get with that from jellyfin official support but their forums are here https://community.synology.com/enu/forum/1

once you have it up and running you can probably get some help with some various things here but still better there

Thanks for the information, and the link. I will see what I can manage there.

This is odd, I use a Synology DS220+ and have had no issues with the community build of Jellyfin from the Package Center. Might be worth contacting the package maintainer: https://github.com/stevenliuit

    If I remember correctly,

Synology Community Package Center, does not have a official Jellyfin Install,
-There is a user created script for setting it up through the "Synology community Package"
--Again, 3rd party, as in not Jellyfin or Synology.
--I've found a few web articles about it I've posted in past post for someone else, don't know if it was up to date.

The recommended method is using Docker.
-On Synology docker is setup with, "container manager", which is in the Synology Package Center.
--With this, you can download and use the Official Jellyfin Docker Image.
