I am a long term emby user with a very large library.  i would like to try Jellyfin and would like to use the same media library that i currently use with Emby as a test.   what settings would i need to change in Jellyfin to allow this to happen?  At this time, while testing, i dont want Jellyfin to make any changes with the metadata, posters, backdrops...   is this possible to do until i decide if i like Jellyfin?  thanks for any direction given.

Do you have emby configured to write metadata to NFOs and save images in the media directory?

I do. All .nfo and images are stored in the folder that holds the media file.

Copy a few movies or shows into a test library. When you create a library in Jellyfin, uncheck every metadata and image provider. Don't enable NFO saver, don't check save images into media folders. I think Jellyfin will read the existing NFOs and not modify them. But I don't use NFOs so I'm not certain, which is why I'm suggesting making copies and using a test library.

Thanks. Seems to be working without making changes.
