Error with playlists (rights of other users) handle?

Hi@all,

currently there is a problem in Jellyfin that as soon as a user creates a playlist he automatically gets all playlists from other users. Even worse, he has full access. So he can edit and delete them.

As far as I read this problem will be fixed with 10.9 :-)

Is there a way to work around the bug for so long e.g. through users/rights on the filesystem?I want to give my family access to Jellyfin. However, I am afraid for my playlists :-(

Unfortunately with Jellyfin 10.8 you cannot workaround this.

Too bad :-( I am aware that I should not ask the question but is there a rough time frame when 10.9 will come?

I ask so that I can estimate whether I put off the family members a little longer or take the risk with my playlists.

There are still issues left before we can release 10.9, a major one being the release of .NET 8. So as always we can't give an ETA.
