Hello,
I am having an issue with my music library where if I move my library to a different folder or subfolder, I have all of my metadata names and pictures messed up. I've decided to turn off musicBrainz and AudioDB as they are causing me more harm than good. It is my understanding that .NFO files take precedence over plug-ins, so shouldn't it still see that I have a custom metadata name for an album and use that instead? For example, I have an album custom named "Jolly Music", but Jellyfin will keep renaming it to "Jolly Music CD1". Or if I rename a greatest hits album to "Jolly - Greatest Hits", it will change the name back to "The Very Best of Jolly". I wish it would stop renaming all my stuff.
I know built-in metadata is the result for a lot of this. But I am also having album covers just get deleted by Jellyfin. Why on Earth would I want no album cover as opposed to the one that is placed in there? And if you have a custom mix, made of Various Artists, is there a way to PERMANENTLY change the name of the entire album so Jellyfin doesn't grab the album name from the first track and replace it over and over again?
Ugh, I just spent an hour renaming my entire library so I'm a little annoyed. Sorry

I complain about Jellyfin a lot and have no idea what I'm doing.
