I cannot for the life of me solve why the hell my movie library loads so extremely slow it's like painful to find a movie.

I have changed the poster to small medium and large. Slow loading and bad lagging no matter what I do.

My server is on a Beelink S12 with 16gb ram and a Intel N100 CPU. I watch my media on a Onn 4K Pro Android box. The Android box has 3GB of RAM. I would assume this has something to do with server side and my computer not being able to download the metadata fast enough. I'm using the stable official version of JellyFin. I have also used a enhanced fork of JellyFin from GitHub. No matter what version or APK still same problem.

I read online to turn off "group movies into collections" option but I've never had that enabled. I'm not sure what else to do any help would be appreciated thank you.

Here is a imgur link to a video of my problem: https://imgur.com/gallery/PIVWhuf

EDIT: also forgot to mention if I scroll too much in the movie section the entire app will crash. Something is severely wrong with JellyFin or how I have it set up if it literally crashes every single time I go into the movie library long enough.

EDIT 2: sorry another thing - all of the thumbnails and posters are also pixelated and very low quality. https://imgur.com/gallery/5jAKyfd

What's the name of the Jellyfin client and version number you are using in the video?

jellyfin-androidtv 0.18.8 release. Its the one from the play store. My Onn 4K Pro box and my Hisense TV both use Google TV. The problem still persists when I tried the app on my TV OS but it is noticeably better than the Onn Pro. I don't understand how the app on my TV runs better than a dedicated android box with 3gb of ram when its the same OS, but it does.

You're not using the official Jellyfin Android TV client. Delete that version and download the official client (https://play.google.com/store/apps/detai...v&hl=en-US) and check if you have better results.

You know I would say I appreciate your help but I literally only have the Play store version installed and it says 0.18.8 and I also mentioned that in the previous reply so I don't know how you are going to tell me I'm not on the official version. I know what the Play store is and I literally downloaded the Play store version I don't know how to download any other version so I'm confused what you want me to do.

Because this is becoming redundant I'm
not stupid I know how to check the version of an app in the about section from the exact app I downloaded from the Google Play store because I know what the Play store is. I'm going to close this thread because no one is helping me and you are just making me go in circles. Thanks for nothing
