Been using Jellyfin for about a week on an old iMac. Native media streaming is great but when it needs to transcode its been really slow. Im running on Big Sur on a Late 2014 27inch iMac. Its a dual core i5 and Radein R9 M290X. Hardware accelerated transcoding (usign Apple Videobox) runs even worse.
Any fixes?
