I'm currently running V10.8.13 with ffmpeg 4.1 and things work nicely but am planning an upgrade and wonder whether I will need a later ffmpeg version to be compatible with 10.9.6?
If not then what version of vanilla ffmpeg would people recommend?
I'd install jellyfin-ffmpeg except I don't have root access and so don't think I'm able to install a .deb from https://repo.jellyfin.org/?path=/ffmpeg/debian/ and can't seem to find any static binaries for my debian based server.
I don't need any fancy transcoding but do like access to subtitles within mkv files which I think uses ffmpeg.
TIA
