Hi everyone
I'm new to the forum and happy, oh so happy, this isn't on reddit anymore. I hated reddit like a plague.
Now if there already is a way to deal with my issue I apologize for opening the thread here and kindly request it be moved to the "help a noob" section.
My issue is that I use the train to commute and there are two issues. One is that reception can be spotty/tower switching can take a moment and two, the train is packed at rush hour so you can have full or near full reception but bandwidth will collapse to 10kb/s in places.
As you can imagine, streaming experience goes down the drain. Aside from the option to download media (to which I'll add my two cents to an existing request later), I would like to be able to either preset Jellyfin android and browser clients to cache more of the media or to have a button on the one I'm currently consuming that forces a pre-cache of the whole media.
I have flat rate on both sides of the stream so the caching function is, at this point, only a hindrance, not a feature to me...
I have found a corresponding Feature Request: https://features.jellyfin.org/posts/825/...che-buffer
This thread might be moot.
