    I'm running Linux Mint.

I had it working at one point: could connect from my phone, TV, etc. and watch stuff. One day it stopped working. Don't know why. Tried to chatgpt my way through resolving it, no dice. Nuked the entire thing and tried reinstalling and now when I try to do sudo systemctl status jellyfin I get "Unit jellyfin.service could not be found".

    /var/log/jellyfin doesn't exist.

sudo journalctl -u jellyfin gives this output (truncated):
    https://pastebin.com/kKAN3uE0

Any ideas what I can to do to get my sweet sweet Jellyfin back?

Maybe you should have asked here first, instead of chatgpt...

What does "nuked the entire thing" means in terms of commands and operations ?
And same for the "tried reinstalling"???

Did you use the apt commands or something else???

    I have the same situation.
The Jellyfin server, which had been running for a year on Ubuntu 24.04.3 LTS, stopped working normally after the update.
Deleted: sudo apt purge jellyfin, sudo apt autoremove, sudo apt autoclean.
I installed it with the command curl https://repo.jellyfin.org/install-debuntu.sh | sudo bash. After reinstalling, jellyfin.service does not start.
    Folders /etc/jellyfin, /var/cache/jellyfin, /var/lib/jellyfin, /var/log/jellyfin are empty.
The result of journalctl -xeu jellyfin.service:
    https://pastebin.com/Z2fUPkB3
What was done wrong? How can jellyfin be brought back to life?
