FireTv Jellyfin passing AAC5.1 through HDMI ARC as 2.0?

Is it the setup or settings?

    My setup:

FireTV Cube -> LG C3 -> HDMI ARC (not eARC) -> Pioneer A/V Receiver

    - When playing contents with DTS -> Receiver receives and process the 5.1 signal correctly
    - When playing contents with AAC5.1/7.1 -> Receiver just sees 2.0

Is there a setting that I need to toggle through the TV or FireTv or Jellyfin that would sends the AAC5.1/7.1 signal to the Receiver correctly?

    OR

Is it the receiver that's not playing nice?

Regular ARC has a limit of 1 Mbps. Is your AAC audio bit rate above that limit? Might be transcoding the audio. Can you share your logs with us?

I changed the movie name to myMovie and it's a 4k AAC7.1 movie. It is direct play but the receiver only sees 2 channels.

I have the same issue with AAC 5.1 playing back as Dolby Digital 2.0 (according to Sonos) in my setup. I can play Atmos, DTS and Dolby Digital 5.1 without issue, but anything that is encoded in AAC 5.1 plays back in stereo only. I've checked that "Audio Output" is set to "Direct" and as I've mentioned, it 100% works with other standards. My setup is Jellyfin 10.10.1 > Sony Bravia UR3 (Android 10) > Sonos Arc (via eARC HDMI). Anyone experiencing similar? Don't really know where to start with getting to the bottom of this.

Edit: Just realised this post is 2 years old, I'll start a new one! Soz.
