[*]Hello folks, first time posting, having a strange issue I haven't seen anyone else have. I've got a couple of folders setup in my Jellyfin instance, e.g. Movies, TV Shows, Marvel, DC, et cetera. I use some custom images for the covers of those folders, however once every two weeks roughly, the folder images revert back to the default. I then have to go in manually and choose my custom folder image again.

[*]Anyone have any idea how to stop them from reverting? My setup info is as follows:

    [*]- Jellyfin 10.10.5 (I update it regularly)
[*]- Installed on Proxmox LXC (privileged container)
[*]- Clients: variety of Jellyfin apps on iPad, iPhone, as well as Infuse via Apple TV.
    [*]

Any help is appreciated, thank you!

You're talking about the library images on the home screen, correct?

Yes exactly. Well to be precise maybe one level down, on the home screen I select my primary source under "My Media", that image has stayed permanently just fine, after selecting that I have two folders, one for Movies, one for TV Shows. The custom images I have for both of those are what is reverting.

Is this a mixed library type? And is your media nested? Or is this a music videos library?

The mixed library type is buggy, in general. And, AFAIK, only the library images set on the actual home screen are static.

Not mixed, just movies and tv shows, no audio stuff whatsoever. Yeah the home screen image has stayed static just fine. Is there a setting that resets nested folder images? I couldn't find anything poking around.

Are you referring to folder view? As you can tell we don't know what you are referring to. Post some screenshots of what you are talking about.

That picture never reverts, after you click on the blockbuster pic you're taken to these folders:

These two folders, Movies and TV Shows, have custom images as you can see, they are what revert roughly once every two weeks. By revert I mean my custom images go away and it defaults back to the auto-generated thumbnail.

Thanks for sharing those pictures; they really help clarify what you mean. What you've done is create a mixed library called "MIMIR" with subfolders for media. This is the question Dread asked and you said no.

    Here’s the structure you've created:
MIMIR (Mixed Movies and Shows Library)
        Media
             TV
             Movies

However, as Dread mentioned, using a mixed library type can be buggy and isn’t the recommended way to organize your media.

It’s better to create separate libraries for each type of content:
    TV (Series Library)
        TV

    Movies (Movie Library)
        Movies

For your setup you can try placing a folder.jpg image in the TV and Movies folders. Local images take priority and shouldn’t be replaced.

Gotcha, apologies by mixed media I thought he meant audio and video files. Appreciate both your guys help!
