Just recently upgrade my JF server with a used nVidia Tesla P4 (got used for ~$125 CAD) and this thing doesn't even break a sweat with any on the fly transcoding for input files. Figured I would throw on Folding@Home to use the spare resources of the GPU as it barely does anything and currently pulling 1.3-1.7MM PPD even while streaming as the load for steaming is on the NVENC encoders from the look of things. All for 50W of power consumption as reported by nvidia-smi.
Thought I would post this here as projects like Folding@Home are perfect for something like this where the hardware isn't being used super heavily for continuous periods. Also if any needs any help with getting F@H running or even a Jellyfin team for these projects, post here and we can hopefully get things sorted out!
