I'm working on building my library, and am using a lot of custom images for posters and thumbnails. Currently the images are saved into the same folder as the video file. How can I set this up so that Jellyfin will always recognize an image as the poster, or the thumbnail?

I went through and set a bunch of them manually, and then realized I wanted to change my folder naming scheme a bit, and will need to manually add them all again. I'd like to avoid this going forward, if possible.

    Thank you

Follow this documentation and Jellyfin will prioritize the local file.

so, I did come across that, and couldn't quite get it to work. I was making the embarrassing mistake of actually adding the .jpg to the name of the file. Once I just named them "poster" or "thumb" it worked like a charm. Haha.

    Thank you.
