Just tried this addon for Kodi and experienced the same issue between Windows 11 and LibreELEC except I've been unable to resolve it in LibreELEC.

Basically I install the addon, add the server and supply my creds.  I select the libraries to sync (addon mode) and this chugs away with no errors reported.  I then go to browse the sync'd library in the main kodi menu and it shows zero items.  In Windows 11 I solved this by completely clearing the kodi data folder so it was a clean install and reset up the addon and then everything worked.

With LibreELEC I've done all the same except only 2 of my 3 Jellyfin libraries work.  My main movies library syncs with zero errors but Kodi doesn't show any content.  If I remove the library via the addon the library shows as "(dynamic)" and I can browse and play content from here no issues, though it is slow to list the available content.

In terms of the kodi.log I cannot find anything to help and I've had debug logging enabled via the addon settings.  I can see the json metadata streaming into the kodi.log for all the library content so the addon is definately seeing the content but it still doesn't work.

My Jellyfin server is a docker container and I've no issue with this via a browser, mobile or Android clients.  The only difference between the Windows 11 and LibreELEC are host hardware with LibreELEC running on a Minisforum S100.

I'd appreciate any tshoot suggestions, any specific log lines to look for and well really anyone with expereince here.

FWIW my movies library is only like 1100.

    Thanks

My memory is kind of shot but I know JF for Kodi made a change that requires setting up another level of access (totally blanking on the name) and I never did fully understand it but somehow got it to work. Hang in there and search the forum and my posts and that might help you find the path. It works great (when it works) but was a PITA to get going when the change happened. Sorry I'm knind of vague at the moment and not at home to be able to dig deeper.

Thanks, I successfully setup JF for Kodi on my Nvidia Shield TV last night and watched a movie, all very nice.

I think this could be a Kodi version issue, I had to build LibreELEC from source to add in the Universal Flash Storage support needed for my hardware and I was lazy in the prep so its using a Kodi 22 ALPHA build. Will attempt a rebuild but usiling Kodi 21 as is that both my Windows and Android boxes are running.

IF you got it working then that's what counts! Having JF run the back-end server side and Kodi as the main TV client is a beautiful things. There are a few issues that annoy me but for the most part it's just awesome majog. I've found some TV artwork updates don't get pushed down (though I think just Kodi had similar issues) and the only way to "refresh" things is to completely remove and then rescrape a full movies or tv shows library which is annoying. And sometimes those options don't come up in the settings but I've found quitting Kodi and restarting then going back into the add-on settings can resolve that, eventually.

But the general updates being hands-free from the server is so worth any of the other headache issues that come up now and then.

So I was correct, the JF for Kodi addon was struggling with Kodi 22 ALPHA. I rebuilt LibreELEC incorporating my UFS kernel changes into LE's 12.2 branch.  JF for Kodi worked first time with this which runs Kodi 21.

I've been a long time user of both Kodi and JF but I much prefer Kodi's UI especially with the Aeon MQ9 Mod skin.  I've only recently purchased the S100 as a little powerhouse of mobile compute to accompany me on my travels, it runs Win11 out of the box but now triple boots LE, Ubuntu and Win11.  I was looking for a solution to library updates which seem to take an age in my home environment so JF for Kodi with the JF Kodi Sync Queue plugin really cut that out.  I'm also keen to try the JF transcode option within Kodi when remote as this was another pain point.

FWIW I've also deployed a caddy proxy instance into the LE install so I can utilise proxy-to-proxy mTLS handshakes, for me this is enough security to do away with a VPN so just streamlines the experience a little more.
