I have an old gaming rig that I'm hoping to convert into a hub for burning disc, storing the media on the NAS, and then having it also as a local Jellyfin server.
This is currently what's in it:
Now with the likely need to replace the motherboard would I be better off trying to upgrade the CPU to something with integrated graphics for better transcoding or just replacing the motherboard and keeping everything as is? Any suggestions for either?
Thanks for any help!
This is currently what's in it:
- Intel i5-4670k
- Asus Maximus VI Hero (there may be a hardware issue here that would require a replacement as it shuts down after exactly 30 minutes of uptime)
- 24GB DDR3
- Nvidia GTX 770
- EVGA 850G2 power supply
- Case with 6 HDD bays
- 4K sata drive for burning
