What are the file names of the episodes?  That is probably not helping things.

Depending on which ordering you choose (Edit Metadata for the show > Display Order) you will need to name your files appropriately.  Something like s01921e01.mp4

OK, I got it figured out (finally).

Dashboard -> Libraries -> click the three dots on my Cartoons and choose "Manage Library"

In the list there are several things like "Metadata downloaders (TV Shows)" and "Metadata downloaders (Episodes)".
TheTVDB is listed in each of those, but wasn't checked! Apparently the installer doesn't check them by default.
So, I checked them all and went back to my Cartoons. This time when I clicked "Identify" and entered TheTVDB number and clicked Search, it actually came up with something!

I guess now I'll change everything back to a mapped drive letter...

[Update] I can't change it to use a drive letter because I'm running Jellyfin as a service.
