I've got the server running but when I try to connect the media player or local host I just get a connection failure. After some reading I changed the firewalls to private and I added an outbounding rule, but still no luck. I'm sure there's something I'm missing and I'd really appreciate the help.

Hi! So to help it'll be useful to know a few things first:
    1) When you say you're attempting to connect to localhost, is this on the computer running jellyfin or on a different device?  If a different device, localhost won't work and you will need to use the ip address of the computer running JF to connect (will probably be something like 192.168.1.100, you can find this information fairly quickly from a 'network and control' panel)
    2) Is the computer running JF on the same network that you're attempting to connect to it from (e.g. both on your home router?)
    3) you mentioned that you added a rule in your firewall, are there any antiviral softwares running, and did you also add rules for port 8096 to those?
    4) are there any logs generated? (probably under either
    Code:
    <%ProgramData%>\Jellyfin\Server
    or
    Code:
    <%LocalAppData%>\jellyfin
if on Windows)  If so, can we see them?
