Can you share the media info of this file?

I'm not at home to poke around on my Roku, but there are some compatibility settings in the Jellyfin app where you can configure it to attempt to play codec levels it may not support. IIRC, those are enabled by default. If you disable them it should trigger a transcode on the Roku.

so i did some digging myself. i did several test. and was able to achieve a playable file tho it did have to be modified. I disabled/enabled all the compatibility settings they made no change. I then remuxed the file to 1 A/V streaming = crash . I then remux to just V stream (playable). then I converted the audio codec to Opus and remux with ffmpeg. and file will direct play without issue.

there is mediainfo for 2 file there . they are the same movie both different encode settings. and audio stream types. yet they both had the same issue. https://pastebin.com/3vMasD0z

I could not get jellyfin to trigger a transcode of either file. but in both cases i could achieve a playable file by re-encoding the audio stream and remuxing with ffmpeg. leaving video stream untouched.
