How can I transfer my watched status?

I’m retiring my old server and setting up a new one with fresh VM installs. My Jellyfin setup is now on a new server (Ubuntu 22.04LTS), and user accounts are recreated via LDAP. The libraries are also newly scanned, not copied over.
Since I didn’t copy the library database, can I still transfer over the watched status for each user? Any suggestions?

Yes — you can transfer watched status manually, even without copying the full Jellyfin library database, as long as you still have access to the old server’s data directory. Jellyfin stores user watch history in its internal database and in some JSON files. You can selectively migrate this information.
