My jellyfin server is located on my NAS (QNAP)

I can't find a way to stop it to transcode HEVC and the others.

The only few times it stops transcoding is when I use Windows client.

I usually play it on my LG TV and Android, both have capabilities to direct stream HEVC.

    Hi,
    Same question here.
I come from plex and with plex there was an option for the TV or device the video was playing on to be transcoded directly by it. Is this possible with Jellyfin? If yes, how ? please.

    Thank you for your answers

Jellyfin will always direct play if the client device and app supports the codecs in your media.  If it is transcoding it is because it needs to.  Also keep in mind that it may be transcoding due to incompatibility with the audio codec or to burn in subtitles.

Please upload your jellyfin log to pastebin and link it here.  If there are ffmpeg logs, include those too.
