I know how to do TV series, but I'm struggling to work out how to add movies that's part of a collection. Example Hellraiser 1 2 3.

    Thanks.

Could you clarify what exactly are you having trouble doing? Far as I know it's the same procedure: by clicking the three dot menu on the media you want to create a collection and adding them individually, or if you can search for all the items, you can hold left click on the first item and then it allows you to select in bulk and add them all into an existing collection or to create a new one with the selected content.

I'm trying to add them as a collection at the moment it's adding them in as individual films. I have tried putting them in a folder named Hellraiser then naming the Hellraiser films as 1 2 3.

    is that right or wrong?

That is not correct. All movies stand alone in the file system. Do not sub-organize them. Any collections you want to create you will be created and modified in the Jellyfin UI.

    Code:
    Movies
    |--Hellraiser (1987)
    |------Hellraiser (1987).mkv
    |--Hellraiser 2 (1988)
    |------Hellraiser 2 (1988).mkv
    |--Hellraiser 3 (1992)
    |------Hellraiser 3 (1992).mkv
    Jellyfin 10.10.7 (Docker)
    Ubuntu 24.04.2 LTS w/HWE
    Intel i3 12100
    Intel Arc A380
    OS drive - SK Hynix P41 1TB
    Storage
4x WD Red Pro 6TB CMR in RAIDZ1

You have to organize the files themselves so that each movie is in its own folder, like in the example I provided.

If you want all these movies to be grouped together in Jellyfin, you do that through the Jellyfin UI.

You can automatically add movies to collections via the TMDd Box sets plugin, once your media is correctly identified:
    1. Install the TMDb Box Sets plugin from the catalog. This is separate from the default TMDb plugin.
    2. Restart the server after the plugin has been installed.
    3. Navigate to Dashboard → Scheduled Tasks and run TMDb Scan library for new box sets.

Think I got it, What I did was go to the first Hellraiser and clicked on add to collection and now there is a collection folder on the home screen as well as TV shows and movies.

The plugin only works for movies. Just be warned Doctor Who is a pain to setup up correctly. There are a number of threads on the forum regarding it.

Also, the plugin will automatically scrape collection artwork and metadata.

Thanks of course I wasn't thinking Doctor Who will be a series. So I'm going to have fun and games with Doctor Who.
