I still don't have an idea how to organize my shows from DVDs.

Such a DVD contains episodes and extras.

For Jellyfin, I need to move and rename all episodes (which I already hate).

But then, many of those DVDs contain extras.

If this was a movie, not a TV show, I could easily move those extras into an "EXTRAS" sub-folder and be finished.

But with shows, there is no folder for each DVD anymore!

Also, is there a recommendation or requirement for the files in "EXTRAS"?
I mean, makemkv gives them standard names, like for the episodes themselves - but maybe Jellyfin like this to be different too?
Should they have some name containing the name of the show or the season?

I can only have ONE sub-folder named "EXTRAS" ...
But even if I rename all extras and put them into that one sub-folder, they are NOT aligned with the episodes from the their DVD anymore.

As the concept of Jellyfin just cannot handle folders and sub-folders in any sensible and useful way, I see no other way than to do it like this - just have ALL extras from a whole season in one sub-folder.

Is there any trick in Jellyfin to handle this in a different way?

    Many thanks!

We have documentation on what naming Jellyfin supports. It is best to adhere to those structure and naming to reduce potential future problems. It basically comes down to making sure you are using the order of your choosen metadata provider while also following the recommended practices provides in our documentation. https://jellyfin.org/docs/general/server/media/shows/

Thanks, but I read all of this already - and thought that this was clear from my post.

There are no disk sub-folders, so there is no way to have disk extras.

It seems, it is only possible to have ALL extras from a season in ONE folder.

And this is what I hate so much, as Jellyfin does not work with folders and a natural structure.

I can only assume that your reply means, that the are no such tricks or other things that could be done to have the original structure preserved in Jellyfin ...

    Very sad, indeed.

So, just number them sequentially in that one EXTRA folder for all DVDs of a season?
