    hes

i used to have the missing episodes fetcher active becase I thought it was a good idea but I don't want to use it anymore.
the issue is, when deactivating the missing episode fetcher, it's data is not gone... so missing episodes still get displayed even to that point, that if I add a formerly missing episode, that I now have duplicate entries... the actual episode and the "missing" one

how can I get rid of the data that was created by the missing episode fetcher?

The only way I'm able to remove the missing episodes is to remove the affected show from the folder, update the library, re-add the folder, update the library again.
    Jellyfin 10.10.7 (Docker)
    Ubuntu 24.04.2 LTS w/HWE

    Intel Arc A380
    OS drive - SK Hynix P41 1TB
    Storage

    thanks

so there's no (easy) bulk option?
would it effectively work to delete the old library and simply create a new one? and when I turn the missing episode fetcher off, does it stay off or could there be a risk that it turns itself on? is there a way to remove it?

Deleting the entire library in Jellyfin and recreating it would be the most efficient method, yes.

The Missing Episode Fetcher is part of the TVDB plugin and is a relatively new metadata provider. When the TVDB plugin updated and added that provider it must have been enabled by default. As long as you turn it off now, it shouldn't re-enable itself going forward.

what's the best way to do that, so that the "new" library is still on the same spot than the old library?
(e.g. for me, movies is slot 1, series is slot 2, music slot 3 etc - apparently in order of creation)
can i somehow "empty" the existing library and repopulate it?

Move all the folders in the library to a temporary folder. Refresh the library in Jellyfin to remove everything. Move all the folders back to the original. Refresh the library to re-add everything.

sry for asking again...but "refresh" is a simple "scan for new files" or "replace all metadata"?
should i restart jellyfin after the first refresh?
for saving copy time, could i simply change the file location of the library? (e.g. from /nas/series to /nas/temporary) or would this cause trouble with the database?

Yes, scan for new files after you've moved the media folders into your temp folder. You do not need to restart jellyfin.

Yes, you should be moving, not copying, the media folders. Once you scan for new files after moving the folders out of the library folder, it should clean up the database.
