    I just want to feedback that the latest official android client on the Zidoo Z9X Pro is the holy grail.

    A user of Plex since Dec 2007 (yes a founding user.. I am getting old), of Emby and now Jellyfin.

    Plex has lost sight of the original vision.
    Emby is good as a generic player but not if you are interested in the best version of every file being played.
    Jellyfin is legendary, not only does it operate beautifully on the Zidoo (in my view the closest piece of HW to perfection) but it understands state and resume with the native player. I have wanted this for years.

    So why 99% and not 100%, its finicky I know but if the chapters were supported during playback and the name of the content was shown rather than 'Stream' basically there is nothing left, it is the best of all platforms out there hands down.

    How do I donate to Jellyfin, this level of awesome I want to support.

    Thanks to everyone for making my dreams come true.

    I'd say 60% perfect ))

    I own z9x pro, denon based home cinema with lg oled, shield 2019 tv, chromecast w GTV 4K

    So, Jellyfin on z9x pro.
    First of all - Zidoo is Realtek based device, and all hardware features fully optimized ONLY in zidoo video player - it uses low level APIs to work with av hw decoders.
    So, what is the situation.

    AFR works only in zidoo player, on android api level it's not implemented. So, no AFR in Jellyfin.
    ExoPlayer engine:
    Works:
    - Dolby Vision P5, P8, P7 single layer (that's ok, only dual chip device can process it properly) from mkv;
    - Lossy audio bitstream (dd, dd+ w/ atmos, dts core)
    Doesn't work:
    - DTHD w/ w/o atmos, DTS-HD

    LibVLC:
    Video motion is laggy.
    Works:
    - HDR;
    - dd, dd+ w/ atmos, dts, dts-hd;

    Doesn't work:
    - Dolby Vision;
    - Dolby TrueHD w/ w/o Atmos, DTS-X

    Finalising: All video features work only in zidoo optimized video player. Low chances, that exoplayer engine will fully support all realtek hw codecs.

    PS:
    And Jellyfin has some bitrate limit even in Direct Play mode, I can't start play such big mkv's like LOTR, that perfectly are played via smb/nfs with zidoo, shield through vimu, zidoo player, nova player. And devices are capable to play them having good network bandwidth.
