When in the dashboard and viewing active clients, it shows an image for what each person is playing. These images titles are sometimes in random languages. All of my metadata and image settings are English/US only and I see nowhere to set what is displayed on that page.
You can see here the image on the left has the poster in another language

It is quite possible this was resolved in 10.9. I recommend you upgrade. Also, make sure to upgrade Jellyfin Media Player to 1.10 if you do.

Also, make a backup of your jellyfin data. If you need to downgrade back to 10.8 for whatever reason you can only do that with a backup. Going to 10.9 is a one way street.

I installed a new docker instance of version 10.9.2 using none of the original files/data. Still get the same issue.

Edit: I did some digging and figured out that the nvidia shield running Kodi on my network was pulling some of the logo.png files from fanart.tv and those were the ones in the wrong language. So, not a Jellyfin issue at all.
