Hi, I just bought a Hisense TV model 55U72NQ. Already at the purchase stage I knew that Jellyfin was not available as an app within the VidaaStore so I was looking for possible solutions on how to overcome the problem and I started searching a bit arriving on the JellyFin forum.

As an ignoramus in the matter I wanted to ask the more experienced what the difference was between:
    - VidaaEdge - Self-hosted
    - VidaaEdge - Hosted

    Thank you in Advice

The self-hosted version is more intended for developers or users who are comfortable hosting the project themselves.
If you just want to install your own Jellyfin instance on the TV, it's enough to follow the documentation for the hosted version. Use the (+) button and enter your own instance ip (http://ip-to-jellyfin), enter a link for the icon, give it a name and hit install Smiling-face.

    Hi all,
also i installed Jellyfin on Vidaa os using this guide and it work Smiling-face but during form edit i don't find "resolution" field and i see that resolution of app seems 720p on my 4k 43'' TV. Is possible to set at least 1080p resolution ?

    Thanks

So I'm struggling to complete this with a mate who has a hisense TV. We completed all the steps as shown, obviously changing the IP for the server to my server but it just comes up "installation failed" - is the com_jellyfin still active or is there another way to try this? I've tried my server's http and https which I know both work as I have separate devices using http and https available.

Another thing as well, http://vidaahub.com appears to no longer work, but vidaa.flummi.ch does work and comes up with the same page as indicated below with the "Apps" and the + in the top right, I've pressed the + and completed all the details com_jellyfin, Jellyfin, thumbnail and then my server IP both http and https tried, both say installation failed. DNS has been changed to 152.53.85.187 prior to trying vidaahub.com

Self hosted is on the tv?

Hosted is a pc or orange pi?
    Ignore Self-Hosted part!

    Follow this steps:
    1. Go to TV Network Settings:
      • For DNS Server 1, enter:
        Code:
        152.53.85.187
      • Click SAVE.

    2. Open Web Browser:
      • Enter the URL:
        Code:
        https://vidaahub.com
      • If a popup message appears, ACCEPT the certificate (for SSL).
      • If it's not working (e.g., error page not loading), try:
        Code:
        http://vidaahub.com

    3. Add the App:
      • Click the (+) Button in the top-right corner.

      • Enter the following details:
        • App ID:
          Code:
          com_jellyfin
        • App Name:
          Code:
          Jellyfin
        • Thumbnail:
          Code:
          https://fra1.mirror.jellyfin.org/static/forum/images/jellyfin-main.png
        • App URL:
          Code:
          https://YOUR-JELLYFIN-URL

      • Click Install.

    4. Remove DNS-Settings!!
    5. RESTART TV
    6. FINNNN??? 🎉😊
