The skip intro button or action isn't showing up on my Android TV. Did this happen to anyone else? Is there a setting I need to enable to have intro skipping work?

    Versions:
    Jellyfin for Android TV 0.18.2
    Sony X90CH TV
    Jellyfin server 10.10.3
    Intro Skipper Plugin 1.0.0.7

Intro skipping works fine on my jellyfinmediaplayer 1.10.1 (Linux) once I enabled it in the application settings, but I couldn't find a similar setting in Jellyfin for Android TV.

In Settings > Playback, there should be options for how to use media segments. It should prompt for a few segment types by default.

Hmm, I tried a couple options and none are working. I wonder if I need to uninstall and re-install the app.

I reinstalled the app and it now works, but the settings in the app don't work/change the action (e.g., automatically skip vs prompt to skip).

Hate bringing up an old topic, but is there a config needed on the server side to get into skipping to work?
I just setup jellyfin on unraid and while it plays everything just fine, intro skip isn't there with the android tv app. (The app has the settings, and they are set to prompt but it isn't working.)
This was the one thing holding us back from permanently swapping over to Jellyfin and I would love to get this working.
Just wondering if I missed a setting, or needed something that wasn't default enabled.

    Did you install either plugins?

Install either the official Chapter Segments Provider or Intro Skipper. Plugins are installed from the catalog. After installation, run a scan so the plugin can identify the segments (Intro, Outro, etc.). The clients should automatically detect them afterward.

Chapter Segments will scan your media for any existing chapter data and use that to create segments. On the other hand, Intro Skipper will generate new segments by analyzing your media, even if there are no existing chapter markers.

Chapter Segments Provider was there by default, ran the Library task: media segments scan after adding my series library.
ran a full library scan again - with scan for missing metadata, then ran the scheduled task to scan library data
    No Change.
Installed into skipper plugin, running the detect and analyze media segments scheduled task now. - this is gonna take... wow.. a long time lol Smiling-face

    appreciate the help!

    That was it!
The Detect and analyze media segments task is only at 0.3% but I already noticed it working in a show in the android client.
    Thank you

Makes sense, you need to have the media segments already in place for the intro skip to work.
    Thanks again!
