Most of my documentaries are looking like this and it is really difficult to choose what to watch as you might imagine. Can someone help me how to get the proper images for them?
I don't mind finding and adding the Imdb ID in Identify, but it doesn't always show and I haven't figured out why is that.

Here is how the documentaries are displayed https://ibb.co/g93bv5w

What library type are you using? Can you provide some example folder and file names? Looking at the screenshot, it looks like they don't conform to Jellyfin's filename documentation.

Double check TMDB, not IMDB, to see if your documentary is available there. While Jellyfin accepts IMDB IDs, Jellyfin in no way uses it for metadata. Just pretend IMDB doesn't exist.

Hi TheDreadPirate, and thank you for your reply!

Honestly, I download all documentaries, and most of them are from different places; therefore, they have different file structures and naming conventions.

I was hoping for the option to add information manually (like a link or ID of the documentary).

Currently the cover image of the folder is taken from the first episode inside the folder, and I'm wondering is there a way to have the same cover photo for every episode?

    For example I have:

    Path: F:\@Video\@Documentaries\Andes.Plane.Crash.S01.1080p.HDTV.H264-DARKFLiX
    Title: Andes.Plane.Crash.S01.1080p.HDTV.H264-DARKFLiX

Your naming, 100%, is not going to work. Follow the documentation I linked in my last post and rename your files and folders. And then rescan and select "replace all metadata".

I see, but is there a way that I can accomplish the same without renaming my files and folders?

Negatory. For the shows and movie library type, you have to conform to our documentation for your content to be identified correctly. If you 100% do not want to rename your files and folders, you can use the Music Video library type. It will just show the folder and file names, but won't pull down any metadata.
