I'm having a bizarre issue where I can't attempt to connect.  I was working fine before.

    Windows client 1.11.1

It doesn't matter what I type in the box (IP with port or URL), the connect button never comes to life so that I can click it.

Tabbing goes somewhere then back to the Host box. Tab - space does not fire the connect button.

Server is in docker / Linux 10.9.7

I can connect through the web.  I can connect through android (phone).

I uninstalled and reinstalled.  I repaired.  I uninstalled then installed 1.11.0. My windows client just seems unhappy.

Is there a configuration file or somewhere I can pre-fill the information?
Or somewhere I can clear to make it come to life?
    10.9.7

Does putting http:// at the beginning change anything?

No. http to local IP doesn't help it activate. https to the outside URL doesn't either.

It's very strange. I've had it hesitate before, but could always get it to go eventually.

It seems like the Jellyfin splash screen at start is "thinking" longer that it used to as well, though that may just be a "perceived difference", and not real.

The Connect doesn't want to act like it's a button at all. It doesn't even think about budging when you poke at it, and never turns blue.

    Here's what I did:

    uninstalled
    rebooted
there was nothing left in Program Files
    deleted Users\{name}\AppData\Local\Jellyfin Media Player
    deleted Users\{name}\AppData\Local\JellyfinMediaPlayer too
redownloaded the file, just in case
    installed
    launched, from install
it didn't "think" at all before popping the connect to server page
I'm not sure if I needed to start typing, but I noticed that the Connect button was blue as I was typing
And it took me to the login page when I hit connect

I imagine deleting the AppData folders is what did it as nothing else "should" have mattered.
As a developer I know that maybe it was rebooting windows that did it.

Edit: I also left the "create desktop shortcut" checked on this install. That shouldn't matter either (but for full disclosure)

I recently moved, and have a new network router, so finding the server may have gotten confused.

I had a laptop do the same thing, so I went straight to AppData\Local and deleted the folders.

Relaunched and the connect button was blue. Worked like a charm.

For any Linux user that, like me, finds this thread trying to solve the same problem with the Linux version installed via flapak:

The way I solved it was by going to the directory "~/.var/app/" and finding the folder named "com.github.iwalton3.jellyfin-media-player".
I just renamed the folder to something else and launched the app. It recreated the folder and the button began working again.
Only detail is that any client configurations are lost but that is probably a small thing for most people.
