Hi - I am a new user with very limited tech knowledge (I can follow instructions but don't have a clue what a lot of the terminology means  Smiling-face )  I am trying to add media libraries but don't get the option to install or add a library, I just get the loading screen as in the attachment.  Could someone please help me (in plain english  Winking-face ) and tell me what I am doing wrong?

Thank you so much in advance

ADDED:  Tried uninstalling, deleted all Jellyfin files and re-installed but now it can't even connect to the server (my desktop) and therefore I can't even get to the add library page.  I fear I may have cocked everything up.

If you want to start fresh, delete C:\ProgramData\Jellyfin then reinstall Jellyfin.

And what install mode were you selecting. For beginners, select the basic install and not the service install.

Also, is your media stored locally? Or on a network share?

Thank you. I uninstalled through control panel and then did a search for jellyfin in file Explorer and deleted anything that came up (and emptied the recycle bin). I used the basic install too on the original and reinstall.

Are you able to add a library now? You did not indicate whether it was working properly or not.

If not, is your media stored locally or on a network share?

Sorry - no, I was describing what I had done once i had the issue with a spinning circle when trying to add media. I am now at a position of having reinstalled and can't get it to connect to my server (my computer). It comes up with an icon that I click, I then click connect and get a connection error message. So I can't even get to the screen for selecting media now. My media is stored locally on my home pc.

    Thanks.

Have you tried opening an incognito window? Or clearing your browser cache?
