    Hello,
I have an S905X4 box with CoreElec, Kodi and the Jellfin add-on.
Unfortunately, I can't play videos in .h265 via the JellyFin app on my Waipu TV stick.
H264 works, as far as I could test, without any problems.

I probably can't activate the hardware acceleration because of the S905X4 chip.
At least I can't select anything suitable in the settings.

Does anyone have any tips on what I need to do to be able to play h265 videos?

    That chipset should support HEVC.

The problem is that you have some sort of Fraken-setup going on. Can you describe the Jellyfin side of things and how on earth you are using some weird Kodi ffmpeg addon instead of jellyfin-ffmpeg?

Well, that was th easiest way for me to get a jellyfin server.
Since i don't have dedicated hardware to install a jellyfin server, i just installed the jellyfin-addon in kodi.
Before that i only used kodi to watch movies and series.
To do that i had to switch between my waipu-tv-stick and the magicsee n5 max-androidbox which was a bit annoying.
To simplify that, jellyfin seemd to be and good option.

After setup and config the jellyfin-server i've installed the jellyfin-client on the waipu-tv-stick.
    Except h265 all works fine.

I don't know which ffmpeg is used.

Wait....you aren't running jellyfin server at all? The Jellyfin add-on is not a server. It is for syncing metadata between Kodi and a Jellyfin server.

I have no idea how your setup works or if the "Jellyfin addon" is even doing anything for you.

Jellyfin works running off of a server. What you're doing is trying to use an addon for a non-existent server that's main purpose is to sync metadata, not allow better playback.

Basically, this has 0% to do with Jellyfin. Jellyfin at no point does anything for you here.

At most, the addon may be giving you errors since it's not connected to any Jellyfin server.
