Running jellyfin docker and recently updates from 10.8.13 to 10.9 and now 10.9.1 and have troubles update the metadata.

    An example:
    The bourne identity (2002)
I created a new library, to use age based control (parent) and added this movie, the poster was not the correct one, so i did run an identify on it, it found results with correct poster, but it did not change/update to the correct poster.

I then tried to rename another movie "Brave (2012)" to "Cars 3 (2017)", i then scanned the library for new metadata, but it id not change to Card 3 - So i wonder if other experience issues with metadata?

I will do some testing when I get home from work. I had planned on re-working my kid's library from the curated setup to use the age rating system in 10.9.

Just wanted to add my 2 cents that the same thing happened to me, since updating to 10.9.0 and now 10.9.1 I can't update the metadata. I usually have to change the country for the title's language and descriptions but whatever I do it stays in English.

    -- edit --

oddly enough, when a movie doesn't have a tagline and I do "look for missing metadata" once the good language has been set in that movie, the tagline gets added in the correct language, but the description stays the same even if I then do "replace all metadata".

    -- edit 2 --
If I manually delete the plot line in the .nfo then do "look for missing metadata" it downloads it again in the wrong language. maybe a problem with the metadata plugin.

    -- edit 3 --
Whatever the language of the synopsis is once a movie is added to jellyfin it cannot be changed again.

    -- edit 4 --

everything is working normally as of v10.9.3

    -- edit 5 --

no it wasn't i had to revert back to 10.8.13 for everything to work again

The same thing is happening to me, it can't find the poster or cover and if it finds it it only puts the synopsis and always in English but not the cover. Today it seems it does let me search for "some" covers, but they always only come out in English.
