I have what is likely an obvious question but searching didn't get me anywhere. I recently started my first media server and opted to use Jellyfin and hit a few bumps on the beginning. Switching from Jellyfin for Android tv to Kodi using the Jellyfin for Kodi plugin has been amazing and fixed almost every issue!

That being said, i set up open subtitles on my Jellyfin server but I'm not sure if should:

    A) Do nothing because I'm good to go

    B) Set up a subtitle downloader on Kodi as well

    C) Set up the downloader on Kodi and disable it in Jellyfin.

So far everything has worked but I'm going to be giving access to some of my less technical family and want to make sure I have things as straight forward as possible.

You should keep the sub downloader in Jellyfin since Jellyfin is also managing the media. This also allows you to use these subs with actual Jellyfin clients on their phones, browser, etc.
