So I have had my jellyfin server set up on a raspberry pi for a while now and have had not big issues running it on there.

Problem is I have now updated the server to the latest version (from 10.8.12) and all of a sudden
    1. When playing on the TV app (Sony Bravia) no videos will now play and just get stuck in a loop saying "Player error occurred. Will re-try"
    2. If i try playing in my browser, the videos will load up but every 2 or 3 seconds will stop and buffer

Like i said i have never had this issue before until i updated

I've attached the ffmpeg log after playing the video on both the tv and browser

    Attached Files
    .txt   ffmpeg_log_browser.txt (Size: 57.84 KB / Downloads: 104)
    .txt   ffmpeg_log_tv.txt (Size: 67.06 KB / Downloads: 94)

The raspberry pi doesn't have the compute power to transcode. When you say the "TV app" do you mean DLNA or the Android TV app for Jellyfin?

I've been wanting to move it to a proper home server setup but just find it odd that I've never had any issues with it running on the Pi until now (unless it's a large 4k video). And the TV app is the one for Android TV.

It actually is working fine at the moment when using it through the browser, but the TV app is still struggling.

I might just just have to finally bite the bullet and get it running elsewhere.
