Currently I am using the internet provided by my university, which appears to block Jellyfin when accessed normally as if I was on my home network. If I go to the ip address at port 8096 in my browser on another device, it shows that there is a server there listed as "undefined" which cannot be interacted with. I can get around this by using Tailscale, which also allows me to access it remotely, but I would prefer it if I could avoid having to use Tailscale as it does not work on some of my devices.
I don't have tons of knowledge on networking related topics, so I apologize if anything is incorrect, but it seems as though my university has something set up that blocks this port in some way. It is the same with moonlight/sunshine, which also will not connect without Tailscale. I've seen in settings that I can mess around with the ports and http/https, and I have also seen reverse proxies mentioned, but I don't know how exactly I would go about doing that in a way that works for my purposes, if it is possible at all.
Does anyone have any advice or ideas as to what could be done here?
