I can play movies on Jellyfin for Kodi fine with my xbox, but with new 4k Chromecast it's stuck loading 90% of the time. It also causes some movies to have bright contrast and colorizes the screen. This was happening without transcoding enabled, so I enabled it and I still have the same issue.

I have a wifi mesh right next to it, and the WAN speed test is 200mbps/100mbps, so it seems odd that it can't run it over a local network.  Chromecast says it has strong signal strength, but I'm not sure how to test local network speeds. The log bitrate says 90.8k kb.

I have gone to Settings > Playback > AMD AMF acceleration. Enabled decoding for all formats. I went into Kodi player and enabled all formats.  Host machine is a beast and barely using any resources. Windows 10.

I see in the JF logs that it's doing transcoding, but I'm brand new to video playback and don't know what I'm looking for. Log file: https://gist.github.com/caleb87/dcad6a41...fe67883e93

Any ideas what I can try to resolve the issue?

Edit: Forgot to note that I can play all the movies fine on Plex. Plex shows that they are playing at full quality as well.

Transcoding happens automatically -- unless you disable it from the start. Hardware acceleration, however, requires that you match formats to your graphics card (not all cards support the same formats) and ensure it's worthwhile to use that card for transcoding. On a Windows machine, it's fairly straightforward, I'd point you towards the documentation for Jellyfin.
