I have Jellyfin running on an old laptop running ubuntu server OS. The installation is bare metal and for the better part of 2023 Ker Frame Extractor in Schedule task worked fine but as of the last few months the schedule task fails as soon as it starts and frankly I have no idea why. First question is does it really matter I can't find a concrete answer online and second how can I fix this issue? Aside from that everything about my Jellyfin works as it should.

I attached a file to show what I am talking about. Thanks in advance.

Stupid question is there a way to look up the log and look specifically for keyframe extractor?

Share the full log with us. Post to pastebin and link back here. A lot of the time the individual error messages don't tell the full story so we need to the full log.

I'm digging this thread up from the dead as I'm experiencing a similar issue. It quickly fails. Here's a pastebin of the logs from the moment I start the execution to the failure.

    https://pastebin.com/dPnWT5b0

Initially it was failing at about 3 minutes or so and I noticed some media files mentioned in the logs and removed them. After removing them it fails in just a couple of seconds now. Appears as if I'm having a similar issue to this: https://github.com/jellyfin/jellyfin/issues/5184 however I'm not entirely sure how to track down the offending json file. Would it make sense to just nuke all keyframes and start fresh?

Update: Deleted one folder in the data/keyframes/ folder and the keyframes task ran for about 15 minutes before failing instead of just 3 seconds. I'm going to delete folders in batches of 3 and keep re running in hopes that I can skip re running for all of them.

Update2: Confirmed fixed. I got through clearing about half of the folders and eventually the task finished without error.
