Jellyfin for Kodi and Jellycon with Kodi Smart Playlists and transcoding?

I am currently using Jellyfin for Kodi in Addon mode, which works great.  Some of the features in Jellycon sound good, like not having to sync the library with Kodi.  However, I do make use of the Smart/Dynamic playlists in Kodi.  Before I give Jellycon a try, will these work with it, or are you limited to the playlists set in the Jellyfin server?

I am thinking the use case for remote access, Jellcon might be better than JfK.  Does it give more options for transcoding, for example when away from home and you have limited bandwidth?  I have tried transcoding with JfK, using the context menu when playing a video, but it does not give an option for bitrate, it just seems to do it (what settings is this based on)?  It also messed up the aspect ratio when I tried it (sample of 1 file)

I know I can set a bitrate limit on the server, but it would be useful to do this on the client side ad hoc

If Jellycon can't do everything I want is it possible to set up 2 profiles in Kodi, 1 for Jellyfin and one for Jellycon and switch between them?
