Holy smokes I've never had an app break this thoroughly, I hope better development decisions get made in the future with Jellyfin because this should literally never happen.

    Here's how it started:

    1. I enable Hardware Accelerated Decoding via the web interface and exit the server to restart it.
    2. The server REFUSES to start and throws an error message in the tray every time I try to start
    3. Uninstalled Jellyfin according to their website and reinstalled. Somehow still kept all of my old settings and configs, even after clearing cookies my old server still shows up.
    4. Uninstalled again, used Everything to find any related files to Jellyfin and nuked every one. Same problem as above somehow, server still shows up. Clear cookies, reset browser, and FINALLY I get the server set up prompt again.

Uninstaller sucks, no idea why I had to go on a goosechase trying to find all the leftover files it should've deleted. Documentation sucks. No idea why I had to get five different answers from five different people as to where the config file locations are. Took me three days of frustration to finally fix the problem, unacceptable. I'd rather pay for shitty Plex than deal with this every time I have to modify the server config.

Since you're willing to spend money, maybe use it for a donation to one of our volunteers that work on the software, documentation and chat/forum support for free? In fact, you could've used that free service our community provides for your troubleshooting if you shared any of the logs the server provided when it failed to start!

To think you wasted more time to find the forum, create an account, and type all this out. There are many thousands of people who run Jellyfin on a variety of platforms without any of the issues you've described. Perhaps it was your changes to your server config?
