I wanted to share what has worked for me getting jellyfin to work with the same DDNS server XX.synology.me weather I'm local or remote.
I had tried tailscale, VPN, own sight but was always trouble some to be remote and just walk into my house and automatically connect to wifi and then have to switch the server to local one.
Maybe there is a easier and cheaper way. After trying many things I got a ubquiti dream machine. I have my mesh wifi tplink hooked to it and synology running docker hooked to the dream machine. now I just use the DNNS server and I'm able to connect no matter the network i'm on.
