My setup is that I have an HTPC that connects HDMI to an LG C3 Oled.
I setup the Jellyfin Mpv Shim and Jellyfin Media Player on that HTPC.
I stream a 4k movie, MPV shows that Native Resolution is: 2160 but Scaled Resolution is: 1080 (wrong)
I stream the same 4k movie on my PC with a 1440p monitor and MPV shows Native Resolution is: 2160 (correct), and Scaled Resolution: 1440p (correct)
Anyone knows why the HTPC MPV scales a 4k movie to 1080 on a 4k TV?
Thanks,
-- Edit:
I mess around some more and found the problem. The HTPC has scaled resolution for 200%, this some how caused mpv to think that it need to scale a 4k movie to 1080/scaled resolution.
If I set the HTPC to not scale (e.g., 100%) everything is good.
