When I add a TV show or a movie onto Jellyfin, I've been editing the metadata and deleting everything from Genres, Studios, Tags, while just keeping the actors under People.  I'm wondering if there's some sort of way to make Jellyfin keep those metadata categories that I don't want empty by default.

    Thanks for any responses

    Not an expert, but:
be sure you lock the show/movie's metadata after you delete its contents or it will repopulate if you have the refresher on
With something like tinyMediaManager you can batch delete certain metadata from shows/movies and then lock them so they stay put
Once you perform the batch edit on your existing library you'll have to occasionally manually process and then lock new media whenever its ingested
