    Hi,
I have had a Plex server for a few years on a windows pc using 4 external disks. On the movies folder on one of disks I have many different categories listed. Plex picks them up and displays them without a problem.
I want to transfer  all to Jellyfin. To this end I have created a test bed on another pc to check out how I can transfer files from my plex server to Jellyfin. I have no problem with my Shows files but I have a problem with my Movies folder on Jellyfin. I created a movies folder and copied to this two of my categories from plex. Jellyfin does not show these categories, it just shows all the files from both categories all together, not separate follders.
I am sure that I have missed something obvious but I cannot think what.  I really want to switch from plex as I like how jellyfin does things. Can anyone point me where I went wrong but I really do want this as my media server. Many thanks

I think this is what you mean. You would need to add each folder as a new library; you can have more than one library of the same type.

    Movies/
    ├── Family Movies/
    ├── Movies/
    ├── Holiday Movies/
    └── Kid Movies/

Library 1 would point to Family Movies
Library 2  would point to Movies (subfolder)
Library 3  would point to Holiday Movies
Library 4  would point to Kid Movies

Note: you can not do nested folders:
    Library 1:
    /path/to/media
    Library 2:
    /path/to/media/more

Thanks for the advice. I did as you suggested by adding each folder as a new library both under Movies but all that happened was that for each folder I got Movies 1 and Movies 2. I had hoped that both would come under just 1 Movies.
Previously I had set up both folders under Movies by adding each to one library. I think I must have misunderstood.
I shall have to try something else.
Thanks for your help once again.
