You're right!! Great find - this will make the bug much easier to reproduce!

I thought I had subscribed to the thread so I could be notified if someone answered back, but clearly I didn't. No, I don't really have any workaround. I don't even know if I've fully fixed it as I just now noticed I was having actors and actresses disappear, but when I look, it's always people where the names don't align. The only way to get actors back is by replacing the metadata fully for a movie and have it go throu scanning it. There is no other workaround for that, and if you go into a movie, go to an actor, then you can press the edit fields, if the names don't align. It's already been removed, no matter what you change there will not make it save as all the information is already gone. You HAVE to use 1 metadata to get all people, more than 1 and it will mess up.

I was able to recreate this issue on 10.10.7. However, the issue is not present on the latest 10.11RC release.

WOW, I tried upgrading to 10.11.0-rc5... it was a pain, but this issue does appear to be gone!!! That said, I am afraid that once I start scanning new content (esp w/ the TVDB plugin - see below) the issue may re-appear. Side note, I did have to reinstall the TVDB plugin during the upgrade. When I upgraded my docker image from 10.10.7 to 10.11.0-rc5, the container wouldn't start and gave me an error about not being able to migrate the TVDB plugin. I had to delete the "TheTVDB_19.0.0.0" directory to get it to boot. Then, after the 10.11.0-rc5 container booted, I was able to re-install the TVDB 19.0.0.0 plugin. Also, all of my collections appeared to be gone. I had to re-enable them in Settings -> Dashboard -> Libraries -> Display -> Group movies into collections.

When I tested the issue on 10.11, I had the TVDB plugin enabled.
On 10.11, you should have removed all plugins before upgrading. And to test plugins for 10.11 you need to update the Plugin Repository to the Unstable branch: https://repo.jellyfin.org/files/plugin-u...ifest.json via Dashboard -> Plugins -> Manage Repositories This is in the release notes: https://notes.jellyfin.org/v10.11.0_features# |
