Hi, i have a Windows Server with Intel 6 Core and 128 GB Ram. Of this Server have i install IIS + Plesk for web and E-Mail and Jellyfin Server 10.8.10.
I have the Jellyfin Server Config with IIS Proxy of a Sub Domain from Plesk and its Working fine, i have no Problems to going on the Webinterface and can Show Videos.

i set up after this tutorial from the Jellyfin Site: https://jellyfin.org/docs/general/networking/iis
I have two Problems only of the Subdomain and not on the local IP Webinterface.

One Problem is: Subtitel are not always loaded! sometimes yes, sometimes no!
Two Problem is: When i going of Options in the video and edit the Video resolution from 1080p to 360p, what ever, is not Working! It's not responding only of the Subdomain with reseveproxy. Local with local IP "Localhost" "127.0.0.1" or Server IP and Jellyfin Port ist working fine. What is that Problem ?

Sorry for my bad English, I'm not really good at English. Smiling-face

I don't know the specifics of how IIS works with Jellyfin. But my first guess is that IIS does not have permission or is not aware of the transcode directory.

This would affect both changing the resolution and subtitles if they needed to be burned in.

Hmm, but when I click back and new on the video and have bevor by options 360p selected, play that Video on 360p and Transcode/converts.
Then when I go back to Options and click of 720p or what ever and click again back and again of that Video, Play that Video with the one before selected resolution. And Subtitel is to 80% not Working by local and Subdomain. Firefox/Edge and co...

At Jellyfin Media Player App for Windows, Works Subtitel to 100% and i have no Problems.

My Videos is Storage on Cloud and Mount as Drive/Network-Drive. if that should make a difference ?

My second Jellyfin on Synology-Nas Working local perfect, and all Sutitel Load on Webbrowser and co.

It probably does make a difference that your videos are in cloud storage.

Can you share your jellyfin and ffmpeg logs?

You are CPU transcoding, and not fast enough.

    Quote:frame= 549 fps= 19 q=26.0 size=N/A time=00:00:24.21 bitrate=N/A speed=0.86x

Your Synology NAS probably works fine because it is using the Intel iGPU to accelerate transcoding.

You can avoid some transcoding by using the Jellyfin Media Player instead of Firefox or Chrome. Since codec support is better in JMP.

Is there a reason you have this Cloud based Jellyfin? Since you already have Jellyfin on your NAS.

My Synology Nas is by me Home a DS1821+ with AMD 4 Cores and 8 Threads and have not one iGPU. No Problems.
My Windows Server 2022 is a Intel Xeon 6 Core 12 Threads, hostet in a data center and have 1000 GB SSD with 1000 Mbit Up/Down. The Storage is just way too small for all my Videos. That's the reason for the cloud. I have not fast I-Net Home for Streaming for family and friends.
I have Not Lags to Play Videos with the Windows Server and Cloud-Storage.
My Problem is that when change resolution that not responds to the command.
And that Problem, that to 80% Subtitel not Loaded/Show in Video in the web browser.

At the Jellyfin Media Player work/show Subtitel fine and direct. But here too the problem with the change the resolution. In any case, he reacts to the command once.

When i play the Video with local IP:Port change the resolution direct. Problem is Only with Sub Domain, what ever: http or https. http on my Windows-server is regular from me blocked/disabled for securitiy purposes.

I think it has something to do with IIS-Server. I just don't know what. How written: i have Jellyfin Server Config after this tutorial:
    https://jellyfin.org/docs/general/networking/iis/

Serverload/usage is realy little when playing a Video.
